STRATEGIC COMMUNICATIONS

Strategic Messaging Helps Bring Information and Target Audience Together

GTI believes that communications and outreach strategies can be defined in one word – relevance. We pride ourselves on our creativity and ingenuity in providing creative communication and outreach solutions to often complex issues.  This is the common thread of GTI’s communications and outreach support -- from developing a strategic communication and outreach plan, to crafting key messages, then developing, designing, and producing materials, and finally tracking results of the efforts.

Developing and executing strategic, integrated, and coordinated communications campaigns allows any client to break away from the pack and lead the way to acceptance, support, use, and implementation of their cutting-edge technology, programs, concepts, or other efforts.

The GTI staff are seasoned in the areas of:

  • Communication and outreach strategic plan development and implementation
  • Development and production of essential communications tools, including Web sites,  brochures and other printed material, and multi-media such as video, film, and Web 2.0 applications
  • Creation, development, and staffing of trade show exhibits

The most effective communications efforts are illustrated by the following approach:

To implement this approach, GTI brings together individuals with years of experience in creative communication and outreach services.  Our staff work together toward the same goal – bringing success to your programs.  GTI follows three drivers: follow corporate objectives; meet client communications objectives (raise awareness of the program, projects, technologies, etc.); and develop communication strategies for reaching organizational objectives (e.g., use direct, personal communication and hands-on, instructional communication; or leverage communications channels including print and broadcast media, and the Web).

The GTI approach begins with defining and understanding audiences. This determines how to be most relevant to the audiences -- communicating to them in a way they understand.  GTI then develops and tests messages that will resonate with target audiences, and develops the most appropriate outreach tools.  Finally, GTI implements effective methods to measure and evaluate the success of communications activities. Outreach programs can be measured by the number of Web site hits and successful completion of Web tasks; the quantity of literature distributed; and the actions of target audiences.  For major Web site projects, GTI conducts usability testing, and utilizes cutting-edge techniques such as eye tracking technology.
