Jason, currently stationed at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, MD was selected to provide support to the Global Precipitation Measurement (GPM) Core Observatory Satellite launch program at the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency’s (JAXA) Tanegashima Space Center in southern Japan. Excited for the opportunity to travel to Japan to provide tech support for a joint NASA/JAXA launch, Jason added basic Japanese to his skill set. The H-IIA rocket carrying the observatory thundered into space at 1:37 p.m. EST Thursday, February 27, 2014.     FIND OUT MORE
